Media Advisory: Adaptive Sports Connection, celebrity athletes, veterans, and community leaders to host “Boundless Courage” an inspirational evening showcasing perseverance

COLUMBUS, OHIO – Retired Lieutenant General Michael Ferriter, CEO of the National Veterans Memorial and Museum, and Dr. Theresa Larson, CEO of Movement RX, and former Marine Platoon Leader are the keynote speakers for Boundless Courage: A Masterpiece for All, an event experience featuring an array of presentations and live performances from notable celebrities and adaptive athletes at The Athletic Club of Columbus on Thursday, February 21st, starting at 6:00 pm.

A capacity crowd of 225 business owners, veterans, company executives and thought leaders will attend the affair benefitting the Adaptive Sports Connection (ASC), a non-profit organization serving veterans, adults, and children with disabilities throughout Ohio. ASC gives individuals with disabilities the chance to develop independence, confidence, and fitness through participation in community sports, recreation and educational programs.

Along with General Ferriter and Dr. Theresa Larson, the line-up of participants includes:

  • Ben Curtis, PGA Tour Golf Professional and the 2003 British Open Champion
  • Swen Nater, retired NBA great and Hall of Fame nominee
  • Humble G tha Fiddla, an award-winning hip-hope violinist
  • James Taggert, a James Bond impersonator
  • Greg McCrabb, a local adaptive athlete with a spinal cord injury
  • Toni and Mark Burkholder, a community advocate for traumatic brain injuries and her son Mark who suffered a TBI
  • Laura Kritetemyer, MD, a former neurologist at The Ohio State University
  • Adam Greathouse, disabled Army veteran

What: Inspirational leadership event to benefit Adaptive Sports Connection featuring notable speakers and celebrity athletes sharing stories of overcoming adversity.

When: 5:15 p.m. for a special VIP hour: 6:00 – 7:30 social hour, 7:30 – 9:00 program on February 21, 2019
